I originally started this account some time near the beginning of high school when i had plenty of time and inspiration to post new work and try out techniques i had learned in class and from friends. i then went to college with the intention of becoming a character designer for video games and animation, but the visual communications program was focused more on gallery art and graphic design. i learned quite a lot from my three years there but once i tried to find work in the industry, it became very difficult and was no longer something i enjoyed. I've since received my bachelor of applied arts and started towards my technical illustrator degree (a two year program but I'm taking a reduced load so it will be 3 years for me) and was able to find work almost immediately where i can use both my scientific/math knowledge as well as my creative knowledge. as a bonus, i now have quite a bit more time than i used to and i hope to post more often and get my enjoyment of art back.
